This strategic plan reflected Cedar Lane School’s mission and belief statements; the need for the librarian to work with the school community in creating a strategic plan; and proposed library project to support the mission of Cedar Lane School. Cedar Lane School strives to “provide an education where all students can learn skills that will enhance their quality of life” as well as providing students with opportunities “to learn strategies and develop skills to change behaviorally and cognitively” (Cedar Lane School, 2022). The proposed makerspace and activity center would allow students to grow personally and socially as they engage in creative endeavors and engage with their peers.
