Collaboration Unit

I collaborated with an upper elementary school emotional/behavioral disabilities teacher to support the students in completing a Guided Inquiry Design unit. The three lessons focused on VDOE’s English Standard 5.9 Research, in which the students were expected to find, evaluate, and select appropriate resources by collecting information from multiple resources, using technology as a tool to research, organize, and evaluate information, and giving credit to sources used in research. The students needed a lot of direct support after the direct instruction was given in order to successfully execute the skills associated with this VDOE standard.
