VAASL Conference Professional Development

The Virginia Association of School Librarians hosted a Spring Regional Conference in March 2023 in York, Virginia. The keynote speaker, Alyssa Colman, focused on the importance of creating an inviting tone within the school library, one that encourages students to read and write. The three sessions attended focused on school library author visits and being an author, supporting English language learners with research, and exploring the abundance of digital resources offered by the Smithsonian Learning Lab.
