This ePortfolio is the work I have created while in the Masters of Library Information and Sciences Program (MLIS) at Old Dominion University.\u00a0 It is currently a work in progress as I have just begun!<\/p>\n

Life has taken me down many paths, and never would I have told you that I would be here in graduate school in a MLIS program.\u00a0 C. G. Jung\u2019s words, \u201cwhat you resist, persists\u201d came to me and it seems to encapsulate my educational journey.<\/p>\n

I came from a family of educators, and never did I imagine myself becoming a teacher.\u00a0 Actually, I unexpectedly entered the education field via the middle school library.\u00a0 I was working as a Library Media Assistant (LMA) when a position for a Spanish teacher became available.\u00a0 I went to my principal at the time, and said I\u2019d like to teach Spanish.\u00a0 From there, I became a licensed World Languages K-12 teacher.\u00a0 I taught middle school Spanish for three years and then moved to high school for one year.\u00a0 I moved from Colorado to Virginia and ended up in a middle school library once again as LMA.\u00a0 Now I am going back to school to become a school librarian.\u00a0 I need to surrender to the possibilities and go where life takes me.\u00a0 I hope our paths will cross in the most unexpected places.<\/p>\n
