Hola, Xin Chào, Barev, Hello!
For this post I was assigned to create a word cloud about myself. I chose an image of the world because it reflects my love for traveling, other cultures, and overall adventure. The font I used for this assignment is called Lobster. I picked this font for its clarity, as well as my desire to use a font that I have never heard of. The words I used within this word cloud best define my mindset during this past year. Enjoy!

This looks really great Ian and such a great start to your portfolio. This is my second semester at ODU and the portfolio takes such a great deal of time (but I am a perfectionist, so that may just be me). Your font choice is really pleasing to the eye as well.

Ian,
The lobster font is much clearer than I anticipated. It reads really well on the blog post. Also kudos on your “B” Berry graphic! Very clever. Have you ever thought of teaching at an International School? Then you could combine your love for travel and education. I spent four years teaching in Rome, Italy. It was a dream come true! Ciao!

Thank you, it took me forever to figure out how to replace the default logo 🙂
I actually have given teaching abroad thought, my girlfriend is Vietnamese so maybe heading over there will be in the cards one day.

‘Lobster’ definitely claims attention when first opening the page! I also like your choice of word cloud; it resonates with the call of knowledge and the adventurous spirit we should have as Librarians. Also, that’s a creative logo you have in the top left of your page!

Fantastic word cloud, Ian! I think it’s a beautiful way to positively look back at this crazy past year, and look ahead with optimism.

Your word cloud is beautiful! This is definitely a shape that I would want to use with my students. What a great visual to display in the classroom.
