About Me

Hello and welcome. My name is Jennifer Justice. I am enthusiastically pursuing a masters degree in Library and Information Studies with a concentration in Archives and Special Collections to further my growth in a field that I love. As an undergraduate at Christopher Newport University, I majored in History with a minor in Art History. It is my goal to combine my experience in these fields to begin a career in an archive or cultural heritage institution where I can share my knowledge of history, help bring the past alive in new ways for others and provide insight into how we can incorporate this information in our present lives. I worked for over a decade as a bookseller, where I witnessed firsthand the power of connecting people with books. I have also worked and lived in Seoul, South Korea as an ESL educator. It was an amazing opportunity and experience that opened my own eyes to the possibilities of connecting people around the world through education and the sharing of information and ideas. In my current role at the Chrysler Museum of Art, I encourage patrons to engage with our collections through thoughtful discussions and museum programming. I also physically care for the collections by tracking the presence and monitoring the condition of objects daily.
