The Final Reflection assignment in LIBS 674: Management and Leadership in Library and Information Studies asked us to address three main points. First, we were required to look back on a previous assignment for the semester and discuss the differences between management and leadership and detail three to five behaviors that we felt would make us effective leaders in our future professional roles. The next question asked us to discuss the vision and mission statements of a library of our choosing and contemplate any changes that could make these statements more effective for the institution. We also provided three to five goals or objectives that would allow the library to take action that would enable the institution to better align with its vision and mission in the future. Lastly, we detailed three topics in library science that we would like to learn more about as we grew in the program and as professionals.
