Hello,

My name is Kelly Pecora and I am currently a Youth Library Programming Specialist with the City of Virginia Beach Public Libraries where I have been working for the past 3 years.  I grew up in Virginia Beach and love living in this vibrant and diverse community. I received a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Old Dominion University in 2020.  My plan was to become a Special Education teacher but after securing this job at the library, I knew this was where I belong.   

I have been married to my college sweetheart for almost 20 years and we have 4 amazing children ages 19, 16, 10 and 5.  Some of my hobbies include baking, travel and of course reading!  Ireland has been my favorite destination so far and I am planning to return soon. 

My experiences working in a Public Library have led me on this path to become a Librarian.  I look forward to learning and growing with my colleagues as we prepare for our next step.
