For being a “young person” as my mom says I am not super great at technology and struggle with WordPress. However, this blog post has been pretty simple and I enjoyed using the different platforms. The image above did come from Word Art. Word Art was quick and easy to make an account. I went through and tried every site and ended up going with Word Art because of the “shapes’ feature. The only element of Word Art that the other sites did was you can copy and paste your word list whereas on Word Art you have to type each word. I went with a tree as my image because I love nature and “Lindsey” means “water near the Linden Tree” so I thought that tied in well with the assignment.
Monkey Learn World Cloud Generator you did not have to create an account and had a very fast setup. I had my word cloud in under a minute from logging on. Word It Out was also very fast to create but it looks a little bulky and outdated. The best site overall would be ABCya World Cloud. This site offers a lot of different games for ages and was the most visually appealing. You do have to fully set up and make an account and also verify your age which I think is a little odd since the games and puzzles are great for kids to use. Lastly, Answer Garden was a unique option. I could definitely see it being a fun tool in the classroom to use to describe different characters in the book.
Nice comparison. I’m checking to see if comments have been enabled.
