The English Setter in the photo could be her twin, but her owner definitely doesn’t look like me. I used Pixlr E to crop the picture and then mask the person’s hand from the background. The edited picture didn’t quite turn out how I expected (I thought the hand would magically disappear) despite using different editing tools. The site offered a multitude of different tools that were fun to explore, and I would love to use this site for extensive photo edited with students.

Foundry Co. Students could use this as part of an inventive photo collage for a book share or I could use this as a metaphor for the depth of novels students could find in the library.

Both of these sites could easily be used by older students, while younger students may be drawn to the tools found on Big Huge Labs (I didn’t like the site as it contained a ton of ads and had multiple requests to download to unknown sites that less digitally savvy students might be tempted to click). The piZap site looked interesting and seemingly had a great deal to tools and mobile apps, but the fact that users had to first sign on using either their Gmail or social media made me a little hesitant to try the site.

Images Junior, E.
