This is a collaborative lesson plan created to focus on the genre of biographies.   The four-part lesson was developed for fourth-grade students at Jordan Springs Elementary School.    The lesson plans included a book tasting of biographies, research into the subject of the biographies, creation of a presentation and presentations viewed by the class.  A pre-assessment and post-assessment survey was given to students prior to and after the lesson was complete to determine how much students learned about biographies.
