When deciding on a font I wanted to choose something that was inviting to look at and easy to read. And while my actual blog is for my graduate degree at ODU, everything that I am doing is with school children in mind. The Sans Family is more accessible for a younger audience and works well in multiple sizes. I chose to use 3 different fonts on my blog, all within the same family and style. My main text will be Open Sans. I hope that this will be appealing and not overwhelming to look at. I prefer the clean lines and feel that Open Sans matches my organized personality.
Sarah, Yes this is a nice, clean font choice. Thanks for all of your contributions in this first week of class.
Hello Sarah, this is very clean and calming. The color scheme felt like sitting on a small beach reading a good book.
Hi Sarah- I love the colors you chose- very beachy!
I love the font choice. It goes well with the beach scenes. It is very calming.
I agree with you about the Sans family being a child friendly font. It is most like the manuscript lettering that young students are familiar with. I tend to use similar fonts for school as well.
