This image came from Unsplash, another easy website to search for and find inviting images. All images are free for commercial and non-commercial purposes and can be edited. Then I used Pixlr to add text to my uploaded image. It was easy to use and fun to play with. I would use these tools to add to fun to a school newsletter or flyer advertising a book sale.

When deciding on a font I wanted to choose something that was inviting to look at and easy to read. And while my actual blog is for my graduate degree at ODU, everything that I am doing is with school children in mind. The Sans Family is more accessible for a younger audience and works well in multiple sizes. I chose to use 3 different fonts on my blog, all within the same family and style. My main text will be Open Sans. I hope that this will be appealing and not overwhelming to look at. I prefer the clean lines and feel that Open Sans matches my organized personality.
