Developing a Library of Things was one of the assignments in LIBS 658, Knowledge Resources: Planning, Selecting and Managing Collections. I included it here because the suite of items I selected complement the three-year collection improvement plan noted as artifact #4. The assignment highlights the view that there are many dimensions to access beyond print and electronic resources. To assemble the Library of Things, I was required to use data from the community analysis to justify a list of items that would benefit the community. I took into consideration and focused on the growing population of recent immigrants with limited English language skills.
