These resources that I have selected below will help me with my future work as a librarian.

As the book review journal of the American Library Association, Booklist has been offering book reviews for more than 100 years. It offers reliable reviews to libraries and students alike easing the decision making process on what books to buy or read. On top of all this Booklist also offers an extensive database that librarians can utilize.

The Public Library Association is a large organization that supports librarians with nearly 10,000 members in public libraries. The PLA offers many different initiatives and resources like professional development and networking which can be essential for the librarian.

The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) is meant for higher education that librarians may need, it develops services meant to support academic librarians lead within their community. The ACRL also represents all the other academic library types allowing all levels of academic librarians to utilize these resources offered.

The Virginia Library Association helps to develop information services for the library and for librarians ensuring that every citizen has access to information across the Commonwealth. The VLA has also provided newsletters , scholarly journals, and a website to its members.

American Libraries is a magazine under the American Library Association that prints six times a year. American Libraries also has digital issues and an electronic newsletter that has links to news and summaries that library professionals can utilize.

Sponsored by Demco, their Ideas and Inspiration website has many guides and webinars to choose from for librarians to draw inspiration from when doing their own activites in their library. The blog they maintain offers a little bit of everything from ideas of outdoor library spaces to makerspaces and other special topics.

Rich in Color promotes young adult books written by or starring Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), offering a diverse selection of books to read to teens. Rich in Color can help in providing a diverse reading list to librarians to integrate into their collections that teens will love.

Kirkus Collections offers reviews with diversity and inclusive content while also keeping in mind literary merit. Librarians can use this collection to offer their readers what they desire to read while also maintaining diversity in protagonists, notably those from marginalized groups.

The Graphic Novels and Comics Round Table is an organization that provides resources to librarians looking to grow their graphic novel and comics collection. The GNCRT supports all types of libraries whether they are just starting their collection or updating it and also supporting networking and outreach programs with other librarians.

Games & Gaming Round Table covers the use of games and gaming in libraries of all types. GameRT offers forums that allow for the exchange of ideas and resources to help libraries build and maintain these game collections, they also support game programming within the library too.
