Hello and welcome to my E-Portfolio! My name is Tanisha McRae and I will be graduating from the MLIS program at Old Dominion University in May 2024! Throughout the program I have been eager to learn more and improve my existing expertise. I am currently the Youth Program Coordinator at the Downtown Branch at Slover in Norfolk, VA and oversee programs on the children and teen floor. I hold a Bachelors in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Masters in Public Administration from South University. I aspire to one day become a Branch Manager after completing this program.

When I am not at work serving the community, you can find me at home spending time with my husband, our 6 year old daughter, and our 3 year old English Bulldog, Louie. My hobbies include reading, watching Netflix, and shopping at Target with my daughter. I am passionate about my job and all that a library provides and I am an advocate for diversity in our collection and program offerings. I feel that every person should be able to come into the library and find resources and programs that makes them feel welcome.
