About Me

Welcome to my e-Portfolio

My name is Tina Richard and I am a graduate student at Old Dominion University.  I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science with a concentration in School Librarianship.  I have taught elementary school for 21 years in Rockingham County, Virginia.  Currently, I teach kindergarten but have also taught pre-k, 1st, and 3rd grades.  My goal is to transition from the classroom to an elementary school library.  As a librarian, I will have the opportunity to help foster a love of reading in all elementary students, support and enhance their learning, and collaborate and support my colleagues.

This portfolio shows examples of the work I have completed in the MLIS program.   As I progress in the program, I am hopeful that my continued growth in learning and understanding will be obvious.  Please feel free to look through my portfolio.
