I was able to make a video on my MacBook Air, edit and post. I knew this was not sufficient knowledge in this field and my familiarity needed to be expanded. As this course LIBS602 began, I was immediately intimidated and unsure of ability to learn the material and succeed in the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would not have classified myself as a technophob, however after our weekly readings, I recognize some traits in myself. I repeatedly asked those who I deemed talented in this field for guidance, realizing \u201ctechnology is a skill, not a talent\u201d (Szmodis,2021). With this new information and skill, I understand that I can excel in technology geared for teaching. I have begun practicing with various online tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently I have been on TikTok following different librarians and exploring the information they have to offer. I am in a unique situation at work , and I did not know how to cover a book the correct way. I found a librarian who gave a tutorial on book covering and repairing, I saved it and will practice this skill as well.&nbsp; Kelsey Bogan stated, \u201cyou are limited by your own imagination\u201d. Her blog speaks to being intentional in your use of social media in a way that will expand your knowledge (Bogan, 2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list sponsored by AASL \u201cBest Digital Tools for Teaching &amp; Learning\u201d,&nbsp; explores different options for use in the library.&nbsp; This was an extensive list and many of the tools I was not familiar with and have not used in my library. After exploring the list IVox and Diverse Book Finder are my two favorites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>American Association of School Libraries.
