Compare cybersecurity risks in the U.S. and another country.

When compared, the united states has several cybersecurity risks in common with England. The united states came in low or top-five placement in multiple surveys. There are numerous risks in our cybersecurity for the united states, such as loss of data, hacking, single-factor passwords, insider threat, and cloud abuse. The first risk of cloud abuse is a risk that plagues multiple companies in more recent years, an example being when it affected apple in 2020. Cloud abuse is when an infrastructure used as a service has no secure registration process. It’s the simplicity that makes the cloud vulnerable to spam emails, criminals, and other malicious attacks. The second risk is an insider threat, when an employee, whether on purpose or accident, harms their organization’s security.

In comparison, for England, their cybersecurity risks are just as numerous. Some examples include viruses and malware from third-party devices, insider threats, form-jacking, AI attacks, and finally, hacking. The first issue is viruses and malware from third-party devices. This is an issue because every device connected to the network creates another potential entry point for security threats, which makes it difficult for some organizations’ teams. The second threat is form-jacking. Because of regulations getting tighter this means that websites have to use more ways to collect consumers’ data, which allows hackers more opportunities. This risk is done when hackers inject malicious code to hack a website and take over the site’s functionality in order to collect consumer’s data. The third threat, which is AI attacks, is in which hackers hack these systems and try to alter their behaviors in order to serve a malicious goal.

In conclusion, both of these countries share similar cybersecurity risks. Each risk is centered around the lack of security that some organizations’ have or the neglicance that allows hackers access to crucial consumers’ data.
