I developed knowledge of convection though exercises like  Silences in History Proposal to understand the importance of  linguistic structures, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling. I didn’t really have much trouble with this skill coming into this class except the rare occasional minor grammatical error. It is still important to have this skill though as they help you to make people respect your arguments more. The more important part of this skill however, was demonstrating a clear understanding of intellectual property rights and applying citation styles systematically, according to disciplinary conventions. Doing the source syntheses taught me how to be careful and to correctly cite sources when backing up my claims.
