The editing skills checklists in my opinion aren’t very helpful. I’m not saying my writing is great by any means; however I’m doing very well in my essays. In my feedback, I receive mostly 4’s and in this case all 4’s. This generally means that my errors tend to be very small and often times are just a result of me not paying attention to my writing during the editing phase of my writing process. I genuinely want to become a better writer so that I will not struggle as much in the future when writing more complex papers. Sometimes I feel as though I am not challenged enough in this class because the writing prompts aren’t very interesting. This is changing however because essay 3 was very fun to write because it was interesting doing research. I also love writing argumentative papers in which I have to defend my case using evidence from the text I have with me. Hopefully essay 4 is as interesting so that I know I am getting the most out of this class.
