Questions: Complete the Social Media Disorder scaleLinks to an external site..  How did you score?  What do you think about the items in the scale?  Why do you think that different patterns are found across the world?

After completing the scale I officially scored a 3 out of 9 so I was not diagnosed as a “disordered
social media user.” In order to be diagnosed as a “disordered social media user” you would
have had to score a 5/9 with the questions that were provided. For the items on the scale I think
it does a great job of capturing a broad range of things from emotional all the way to just your
personal life. It also wants to measure the level of your addiction to social media and how
tolerant you just can be without it. The different patterns across the world can be influenced by
cultures and how they differently operate. In some places of the world you are required to have
more in person interactions rather than online or on social media.
