  1. For Money: Money is what controls today’s world, and for people who could never find a
    job or were raised in a tough environment, stealing money makes the most sense as a
    motive.
    2. Politics: Politics is one of the most serious issues in today’s world, and committing a
    crime to spread a message is a common reason for why people might do it.
    3. Multiple Reasons: This category is self-explanatory, as it encompasses a range of
    motives that can drive someone to commit a crime.
    4. Recognition: Recognition may not be a very valid reason, but people want to get their
    names out there. If they are unable to do it through traditional means, they may resort to
    hacking to forcefully gain attention.
    5. Revenge: While revenge should never be an answer to a problem, it can be a valid
    reason for why some individuals commit cybercrimes.
    6. Entertainment: I rank this as the second worst motive because seeking entertainment
    should not come from ruining others’ days. There are countless activities available online
    for entertainment that don’t involve hacking or committing cybercrimes.
    7. Boredom: This motive is similar to entertainment; rather than going out of your way to
    ruin someone else’s day, you can find plenty of other things to do online that are more
