I enjoyed this talk abroad as I felt I was more prepared than the ones from last semester. I was a tad bit nervous as I felt I may mess up drastically or freeze mid conversation from nerves. I enjoyed talking to my talk abroad partner Sybil. She was very helpful and even tried assisting with visual displays of what she was mentioning if I seemed lost on what she was saying, which was not too many times. I did end up being the one who asked the questions from the guide, but it was still pretty fun. We agreed on a lot of things such as preferred times to eat lunch, favorite foods to eat or cook and certain hobby preferences. She did include follow up questions to some of the questions for more specific answers and to fill time which I enjoyed and we had a few good laughs. The biggest hiccup we had during the conversation was a quick moment of disconnection due to her connection and my headphones dying so she could not hear me but we resolved it.

Overall, I am pretty happy about this talk abroad experience as the partner helped it be a bit easier and I felt more prepared this time. I had not noticed any huge cultural difference except for a tea product she showed and described which looked a little different in how some products in america would look,  as well as her eating habits when it came to going to a restaurant and cooking at home. She had mentioned she only goes once or twice a month, most cooking at home, and joked I had a lot of money as I go out very often each week for food. I did have a few issues trying to word a few things towards the end,  in which she understood and used the chat to help me understand better. I liked this conversation.
