Within the next 6 pages I will be explaining my experiences and technical processes related to my study abroad experience. All 8 days in Jamaica were very different. Overall, I learned hands-on about the stigmas, downfalls, and diversity of the island. Social workers, psychologists, and other experts spoke with us about the social problems facing Jamaica such as drug use, alcoholism, poverty, and child abuse. Furthermore, I experienced firsthand the culture and cultural views of this island. The experiences were eye-opening and emotion-evoking in both good and bad ways. All in all, every experience was unique, memorable, and unanticipated in its own way.
