Of course, I had to write about my experience in the Devon House, the house of the first Black millionaires in Jamaica. In all honesty, this tour  was a little emotional due to the simple fact that they were the FIRST BLACK MILLIONAIRES. Although I didn’t get to thoroughly learn about the family because of time restrictions, just hearing a snippet of their story impacted me. When I came back to the US I did some research on them and it was just astonishing. After reading more about them I went through my pictures with a fresh perspective and respect for them. His estate was built using his hard earned money and what wasn’t used in the house he gave back to the poor, disadvantaged, and his country. I aspire to be this generous and wealthy. Naturally, I cannot talk about inspiring Jamaicans without mentioning Bob Marley. He, too, was not selfish with his social influence and he did not let it go to waste. Bob also made sure to always give back and spread peace when he could.
