In college, there’s all different types of students. There are students that have different learning styles and learn at different paces. I refer myself as an average student. My definition of an average student is someone that’s beating both worlds, that’s up and down. Of course, aiming for good grades but not stressing about not having straight A’s. I want to enjoy my college experience like building connections, self-voyage, meeting new people, and to participate in extracurricular activities. My current level of confidence is best described as challenging. I have my good and bad days, which every student could relate to because it’s totally normal. I believe in setting obtainable goals, journaling your thoughts and feelings, attending workshops where you find out about the universities’ services, and remembering to reward yourself when you get a good grade on a test or an assignment, are factors that could increase confidence levels.

Social psychology deals with social influence and individual or group behavior. I believe that learning the course objectives will only influence me to apply them to my future clinical patients so that I can have a better diagnose. My expectations are to have discussions that’s engaged with personal experiences, an inspired and passionate professor, and have an understanding that students also have a life outside of the course. I hope to gain more knowledge of what’s happening within my friend group and even myself, why do people do the things that they do, and how to manage not letting my emotions get in the way of having a one on one conversation. I know having good and effective communication skills with the instructor, time managing, studying, and staying on top of things are guaranteed strategies that will bring me much success in this wonderful course.
