A class I’m doing well in is English. My professor is always willing to help me whenever
I need help and always answers my questions at any time of the day. I needed extra help in
chemistry, so I changed up my spot and started working in a study room with friends and we
would all study together. When coming to college I thought I wasn’t going to be able to meet new
friends and school was going to be hard. But after being here for almost three months I have met
a great group of people. The school work isn’t hard, it’s just time consuming. Something that has
caught my attention while being here is how sweet people are to me and how we can eat as much
as we went throughout the day. I would have to say the toughest part about moving away to
college is saying goodbye to my friends and family. I miss not being able to watch my brother
and sister grow up. I missed all my brothers football games and my sister learning how to walk
and talk. But the good thing is we have Facetime so that is easily fixed but it will never be the
same if I was home.
Something I learned about my major is that you could teach it. I’ve never heard of that
before coming here but it makes sense because how do teachers teach kids about dental hygiene.
No, my feelings have not changed. I am still super excited to keep learning about my major and I
can’t wait to get into the program. Right now I’m not interested in another major or minor. One
thing that has happened to me this semester is that our chemistry homework is usually never
right and we have to email our teacher about it but she always fixes it but it leaves us all wondering if we’re doing her homework right.I have a great group of friends, where we all study at least three times a week. With doing that with them it has helped me understand the material a lot better. I have not attended any interest meeting for a club yet and that being said I’ve just been so busy with work, I don’t feel like I have time to really do anything. I have learned to start recycling more and picking up trash off the ground even if it’s not mine. I need to start thinking before I buy food because I need to start eating healthy. I’m always willing to learn more about sustainability.
