IDS 493

This course guides me in the preparation of an electronic portfolio integrating my academic study, work experiences, skill identification, and work products. As portfolio creation is an exercise in multimodal composition, this course supports me as I consider rhetorical concerns in the digital sphere while establishing a digital presence I might use beyond the course and institution.

I will prepare, compose, apply, review, and revise my e-Portfolio over the course of several weeks. This course invites me to consider the value of practicing digital composition in this fashion.

Course Objectives

  • Develop, using digital tools, an e-Portfolio that demonstrates academic, self-assessment, and entrepreneurial skills
  • Analyze and integrate workplace and academic learning using critical thinking
  • Collaborate with other students to improve individual projects
  • Identify best work to demonstrate how skills and projects align with desired outcomes of major program and career goals
  • Research career landscape and problems using interdisciplinary theory
  • Improve writing and communication skills.
