What is the overlap between criminal justice and cybercrime? How does this overlap relate to the other disciplines discussed in this class?

In todays society crimes are starting to be committed more and more online. One of the reasons being that it is harder to get caught this way. If you commit a cybercrime you will be held responsible as you’re breaking the law and will have to go through the criminal justice system. This will cause for criminal justice and cybercrime to constantly overlap each other. Even though most cyber crimes are committed without physical evidence there are some that is. For example, if someone were to take a flash drive and download someones information without their consent, the drive would be considered stolen. Just like if someone were to steal a product out of a store. That is one way to show how they overlap. Another way they overlap is through the dark web. People use the dark web to sell things like stolen credit cards or identities. Even though this isn’t a crime that is committed in person you can still get punished for it as if it was. These overlaps can be tied to some of the disciplines we discussed in class. For example, some cyber crimes are see as white-collar crimes. White collar crimes are usually committed by individuals, business and government professionals. Even though all cyber crimes aren’t white collar crimes, they are still not sure when a white collar crime accommodates a cyber crime. Most times when a white collar crime takes place they use digital forensics to help find out where the cybercrime took place.
