While I consider myself a feminist, I feel as if it as an ever changing idea, and I should continue to educate myself. I learned a lot from examining pieces of literature in a feminist manner. In this essay, I focused only on the ways the work reinforced the patriarchal structure. In an expanded essay, I would have compared the ways it reinforced and also subverted. Although a text may aim to do one, it may have done the opposite unintentionally.
