I graduated from Potomac High School back in May 2024, and am currently attending Old Dominion University. I was born and grew up in the state of Virginia, and enjoy video games, reading, and long walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m looking to attain my Bachelor\u2019s Degree in ODU to expand my cybersecurity knowledge and secure my future. I\u2019ve been in a few introductory cybersecurity courses back during high school, but I am happy to continue learning about Cybersecurity as I continue along my semesters at Old Dominion University.<br><br>I also intend on obtaining an internship before the four years are over. I know it\u2019s a requirement for graduation, but I also think that experience itself is the key to succeeding in the field. Internships give you the easiest way to gain that experience, so it\u2019s something I definitely want to look into later down the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Professional Goals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I aim to use my Bachelor&#8217;s degree to obtain a career I can continually learn from and reference throughout the remainder of my life. While there are an exceedingly high amount of options for career paths, I think the most interesting choices would be looking into cybersecurity engineering or some form of penetration testing akin to white hat hacking. I believe that a career you would want to involve yourself in for an extremely long time should inherently be interesting to ensure you don&#8217;t spend life bored.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey, I\u2019m Blake Murphy.
