Over the course of the semester in which I took CYSE 270, I have enjoyed the labs assigned and feel that the level I am at is proficient enough to be able to take further courses involved with Kali Linux in the future and not feel as if I would struggle.
I’ve learned how to script within the environment, read and check files, adjust permissions, change virtual discs, translate netmasks and addresses to binary code, and utilizing the vi and nano editors. While this is not absolutely everything learned, it still encompasses a large enough part to assert that the course was helpful in my learning of Kali Linux. At first, I found myself struggling to understand some of the coding. Thankfully, the informational slides the instructor posted weekly were extraordinarily beneficial towards clearing that feeling away.
In my future career, I expect that these skills will help whenever I am assigned with something involving Linux. And even if I am not, several of the skills are certainly still applicable such as knowing how things may become effected even with just a simple network change.
