My major is a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity so technology involving cybersecurity is very important towards my career. The tools that I would learn will help me improve protection against many hackers or terrorists and including the dangers in cyberspace. I will also understand the mindset of the invaders to see where I can improve the system. I can also learn to increase my knowledge of malicious attacks and tools to detect break ins.  Also, ways to stop viruses, enforce authentication in multiple technologies, and approaches to risk management. Such as training, approaches, policies, and best practices for the companies or organizations. In Old Dominion University there are many majors involved or related to Cybersecurity. The first major related to cybersecurity is a cybercrime that focuses on law enforcement and information technology. Cybercrime uses a lot of communication skills, mathematic and logic skills. They use their knowledge in cybersecurity and the viewpoint of hackers to gain information for law enforcement. The second major related to cybersecurity is cyber operations that focus on the scope of cyberspace and related operations. It places theories and practices on the system levels. The third major that is related to cybersecurity is risk management. They review and analyze concepts and relationships such as frameworks involving cybersecurity. Guidelines to prevent anything to happen to their systems. The last major related to cybersecurity is information systems and technology. This major provides a combination of business and technical skills to improve technology in the business. It also provides information to protect the business information from being stolen or employee’s information. To provide enough protection so when something happens the person can just follow the guidelines place to prevent any damage. To also bring updated information and policies to place as well.
