Cyber technology and the advancement of it have provided amazing things and opportunities for society. Whether it’s job creation or just making every day needs easier to attain and easier to navigate. On the other side we’ve learned that with technology and its advancement there are downfalls to it as well. The world had to deal with many changes during the Covid pandemic and one of the main things that changed were the amount of people that were teleworking/remotely working from home. This gave people more access to sensitive information that can be harmful when in the wrong hands. Financial institutions/banks started to allow people to work from home which can compromise banking information along with extremely personal information like addresses and social security numbers. Medical Companies/hospitals also allowed people to work from home during the pandemic and that allowed people access to sensitive files like medical information and prescription information. After the pandemic ended companies realized it was cheaper to close down offices and allow people to just work from home. This can leave personal information in the wrong hands. People are more likely to break company procedures from home, which is far different from being under the watchful eye of people in the office.
