Top Archive 5 (Subjective Happiness Scale)
The item to archive for module 14 was interesting to me because I think happiness is something each and everyone deserves in life. Regardless of the issues we all face and the daily struggles we may go through, it is always important to try and focus on the things that make us happy. This item was important because it made me look at one of the most important things we’ve discussed this semester and remember to apply it to my life, especially on the days when happiness doesn’t appear to be all that attainable. Although the survey for this assignment wasn’t all encompassing, when it comes to determining happiness, it can be used as a good indicator to determine areas in which individuals can make improvements.

Top Archive 4 (Aggression Questionnaire)
The item to archive for module 12 focused on aggression and understand the different forms and levels it can take. Growing up, I dealt with controlling my own aggression and at times still struggle with it today. This item allowed me to remember that aggression is displayed in many different forms and should be addressed even in minor situations with the hopes of discontinued aggressive behavior. Being able to grow and reflect on my own accomplishments with controlling aggressive behaviors made this assignment stand out.

Top Archive 3 (Are People Who Help Happier?)
I enjoyed working on the item to archive for module 11 because it allowed me to take a closer look at the people closest to me. Whenever I get caught up in a semester I find it easy to neglect checking in on the emotional status of the people closest to me, but this assignment allowed me to stay grounded and consider these people in my life. Being happy and its connection to how selfish someone is isn’t something I necessarily thought about before this item to archive. I’m glad I had to opportunity to consider their connection through this assignment and understand that even though these concepts aren’t often considered a pair, they are more related than I believed they were.

Top Archive 2 (Norm Violation Exercise)
The item to archive for module 10 was interesting to me mainly because I’ve always felt social norms to be a generally understood concept, when in reality, so many people are not used to exercising them correctly. I found it almost fun to violate a couple social norms that I personally have witnessed others do, only to see how they would react to something I’ve seen them do. This exercise allowed me to understand the lack of awareness that some individuals have when it comes to following social norms. The main thing this item to archive helped me become aware of is how different the following of social norms can be, even within my own friend group.

Top Archive 1 (Attitude Survey)
I really enjoyed doing the item to archive for module 7. This archive first asked us to rate a series of statements on a scale of 1-4; how much we agreed or disagreed with the statement. Then, we were asked to say either yes or no to a series of statements related to the first survey questions, in order to gauge cognitive dissonance. It is very important, as I get older, to align the morals I have with my actions. By being aware of these consistencies it makes it easier for my attitude and behaviors to parallel. This item to archive was important because it helped me to do some self reflecting in order to better understand my consistencies.
