
First quarter of 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Elite Eight game between LSU and Iowa State, Iowa started off strong, led by Caitlin Clark, causing LSU to call a timeout. Shortly after LSU slowly came back with a slight lead at the end of the quarter with 31-26. Clark ending the first quarter with 11 points, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds.
Second quarter both teams were head-to-head taking multiple leads. This did not stop Clark from shining for Iowa. The second half ended with a tie at 45.

Third quarter Clark had a remarkable shot from the three pointers making Iowa take lead of the game. Meanwhile LSU only make 5 out of 28 shots, with a result 17.9% of their shooting percentage. The quarter ended 69-58

The Final quarter, the game has reached the peak full of excitement and adrenaline rushing through. LSU tried their best to come back scoring five points in the beginning of the quarter 69-63. Clark’s free throws helped the team to maintain staying ahead. The final score was 94-87.
Clark made 41 points, 21 assists, and 7 rebounds. She shot 13-29 from the field and 9-20 beyond the arc. Kate martin added 21 points and Sydney Affolter added 16 points. Iowa’s shooting percentage was 44.6% from the field
Flau’jae Johnson made 23 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. shooting 10-18. Reese had a double-double, 17 points, and 20 rebounds. Aneesah Morrow also added 14 points with double-double and 14 rebounds. LSU’s shooting percentage was 43.8% from the field.
