The role in IT i decided to chose is, the CEO. They are the highest level senior official or the executive in the organization that has all the responsibility to help provide information security protections that are equivalent with the risk and magnitude of harm that could impact to organizational operations assets, individuals, other organizations and the Nation. They are responsible for making sure the information security management has strategic and operational planning processes but to also make sure the information and systems are used to only support organizational operations and to have proper information when it comes to security, and to make sure we have trained personnel that are following the rules with related information security legislation, policies, directives, instructions standards and guidelines. They are apart of the Risk Executive Function (one of the board members) to make sure that risk-related considerations for the individual systems are viewed from an organization wide perspectives that take into considerations for the overall strategic goals of the organizations for carrying out the core missions and business functions, as well as the management of the system related security risks are consistent across the organizations that reflect on the risk tolerance and is considered with other types of risks in order to ensure the business success. The CEO is important when it comes to the world of IT because they are the ones who make sure that everything is running correctly and that there is no national security threat to our businesses or to the customers.
