The importance of backing up an organization’s servers is to recover the data in the case of a malicious attack where the data is encrypted or destroyed. Another reason why it is crucial to back up an organization’s servers is in the case of human error where the data is deleted from the system. In the case of hardware failure, it is also important to have your servers backed up.

The advantage of using DHCP is that it can manage the IP address from one place. Another advantage of using DHCP is that it is easy to implement. Using DHCP also prevents multiple IP addresses from being used.
4. How did the WannaCry ransomware attack begin? What vulnerabilities did it exploit?
The vulnerabilities that WannaCry exploited was the computer that didn’t install the latest security patches needed to protect the computers from WannaCry ransomware. The WannaCry ransomware exploited the computers using Windows XP which was longer supported with security patches by Microsoft so it was easy for Wannacry to gain
control of the system. The ransomware attack began when they used EternalBlue in order for it to spread to different systems.

Computers all over the world were affected by the WannaCry attack but the hospitals in the NHS system were also targeted by the attack which caused them to have to cancel appointments. The damages that Wannacry caused is an overall loss of 140,000 dollars worth of bitcoin and that over 230,000 computers were affected all over the world which
caused inconveniences with the hospitals in the UK and businesses that also affected by the WannaCry ransomware.
6. What lessons can we learn from the WannaCry attack about the
importance of cybersecurity and the potential risks of relying on outdated or
unsupported software?
The lesson we can learn from the WannaCry attack is when software is no longersupported we need to update to the newest software available. Another lesson learned is if there is a security patch update available we need to update it so it can be protected from cyberattacks like WannaCry. This attack shows that cybersecurity procedures are important like having backup servers in case of attacks like WannaCry where the data was encrypted
