Journal Entry #6

The difference between a real website and a fake website is that a real website has a padlock next to the URL while a fake website doesn’t have the padlock next to it. A fake website would send you phishing emails that ask for personal information like credit card numbers, social security numbers, and login information. I remember getting a phishing email from my bank and I noticed that the URL was different compared to the real website URL the phishing email was asking for information like my account number, pin, and login information so I didn’t put in any of my personal information nor did I clicked on the link. Another difference between a real and fake website is if there is any misspelling on the URL or on the website that isn’t on the real website.
