The CIA consist of three concepts which is Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. There is no specific creator of this triad only everyone put in their ideas to help make a good definition of these concepts.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is when only the authorized user is able to access and modify the data. Inside on confidentiality there is authentication and authorization. Authentication is when you prove to the device that you are who you say you are. For example, like a passwords you put into your phone. Authorization is when you are granted the access, what permissions you have to either modify, read, or write from being admin to the shared group. For example, there is an admin for blackboard and we the students are the shared group granted with certain permissions.
Integrity
Integrity is when the data is only to the authorized user and not modified by malicious attackers. For example, if you have a group chat. the creator (admin) is granted access to adding/deleting people from the chat but if someone hacks into their phone, the hacker can maliciously add/ delete people from the chat.
Availability
Lastly, availability is when ONLY authorized users should be able to access their data at any time they need. In other words, if I want to log into my ODU portal, I must first do a two factor authentication in order for me to access my portal whenever but it is only available to me as the authorized user.
