Imagine you were writing your own code of ethics. Come up with one plausible principle to include which would resolve some or several of the problems that Tufekci identifies. Explain why such a principle ought (or ought not) be included in a code of ethics.
Ethics refers to the concepts of right and wrong conduct. Furthermore, ethics is basically a branch of philosophy dealing with the issue of morality. Moreover, ethics consist of the rules of behavior. It certainly defines how a person should behave in specific situations
A code of ethics and professional conduct outlines the ethical principles that govern decisions and behavior at a company or organization. They give general outlines of how employees should behave, as well as specific guidance for handling issues. A code of ethics also sets out an organization’s ethical guidelines and best practices to follow for honesty, integrity, and professionalism. For members of an organization, violating the code of ethics can result in sanctions including termination
Generally, a code of ethics should include the six universal moral values, where youstate that you expect an employee to be trustworthy, respectful, responsible, fair, kind and good citizens. Honorable mentions include adding that your business celebrates diversity, green practices, and proper dress codes.
In my own setting for code of ethics, users, organization and my company would have the ability to decide if data should be shared or no data must be shared at all among ourselves. Most of the time we see unpleasant advertisements from time to time on our phones and TVs, but we must not allow this kind of annoyance to eat into our personal feelings. Sometimes these advertisements bring about an experience in which individuals feel unhappy or intimidated. When this occurs, the setting is neither productive nor creative. In my opinion, compromise is not an option since these issues will impact our lives and the lives of others around us.
