During the semester I have been introduced to short films in Spanish. Being introduce helped me understand that Spanish has different pronunciation and the speed depending on the Country. Each short film gradually got harder with interpretive listening and vocabulary. Viaje A Marte and other short films has helped me improve my vocabulary skill sets.
With having different short films it became exciting to hear the new vocabulary that was learned to understand the film better. At first one thing that was unclear was if there was closed caption in Spanish. Since the speed would be faster than some can comprehend. I had over came it by going on Youtube and finding the closed caption which helped me so much. To find those words that I had missed or I could not hear well. I found most interesting was that each short film had it’s unique style. With each listening experience with the short films I had improved my understanding with other accents and their speed. Such as Viaje A Marte was slower and easier to understand compared to Porsiemprejamón. With slowly understanding faster pace Spanish helped me listen to Porsiemprejamón.
