Describe five businesses or non-profits that have been created in my field.  

The first company is Heimdal Security, a powerful DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS filtering tool that goes above and beyond the usual protection, detection, and response by adding preventive and threat hunting. The second company is Syxsense, which uses endpoint security to prevent breaches. We integrate endpoint security, patch management, and vulnerability scanning into a single cloud console. The third option is Dashlane, a password manager that gives businesses all the tools they need to onboard new staff, manage permissions, and keep an eye on security issues in one location. Fourth, a corporation by the name of Cisco may be well known. Next-generation firewalls, next-generation intrusion prevention, CASB, web gateway, NAC, advanced malware protection, email security, endpoint security, security management, VPN, and security services are just a few of its many product categories. The corporation doesn’t break out security revenues separately and has a deceptively huge security business that is distributed across several business lines, including software and services. 

What is your overall perspective on the entrepreneurship experience?  

Although I believe that starting my own business has been a great positive experience for me, I also believe that I still have a lot to learn about being an entrepreneur. My view of entrepreneurship is more focused on how to make your business successful than on what needs to be done. They also put in a lot of effort on their own and build a group that will provide long-term, profitable results. Everything they do, in my perspective, embodies their desire to turn their business goal into a reality. 

How did the entrepreneurship prepare or not prepare you to be a competitive candidate for vacant positions?  

By locating the ideal enterprise for them. They prepare in a way that reflects their love for the subject as well as their desire for the business to succeed. It takes a lot of effort to succeed in entrepreneurship. The interviewer observes their body language to determine whether they are a candidate for the job. Your accomplishments and expertise are a fantastic source of information for others to learn, so use gestures, handshakes, eye contact, etc. A candidate must not have a history of conflict with management or coworkers to be considered competitive. 

What suggestions do you have to improve the experience?  

You can be inspired to improve and acquire their degree of experience by admiring someone who is more experienced than you. The more training you receive and mentoring you receive, the better you will become. Another recommendation is to practice communication skills and deliver purposeful work. Employees in your business team would be those you should pay attention to because they may enhance your experience. I have learned a few new things when taking the Entrepreneur course and it has opened my eyes to how things can turn out without teamwork and communication. If no one has reached out to each other I think we might have failed. In the beginning no one was communicating until the last minute, but I should have contacted the leader (professor) and things would have been easier for me. This experience has made me upset about doing the work but making sure you confirm with the leader what you will do will make your plans successful. What next for me is continuing to pursue what I am studying and practice more about teamwork and communication to prepare myself when I get into the career field. 

What’s next for you?  

I would continue studying cyber security to work in the sector. Afterward, I’ll pursue entrepreneurship on the side by starting my own company so I can work for myself. The field of cyber will be beneficial. I would aim to hone soft skills like customer service, teamwork, and communication that are beneficial for entrepreneurs. Also, as I continue to pursue what I am studying and should practice more about teamwork and communication to prepare myself when I get into the career field.
