Hello! My name is Natali Guzmán and I am a sophomore majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Health and Wellness to become a Physical Therapist. I am currently taking Spanish 312W with the possibility of minoring in Spanish as well.
My family is from El Salvador and I am fluent in Spanish as it was my first language growing up. I chose to take Spanish as opposed to another language to continue practicing my native tongue. Being in college, I speak it less often and this course has allowed me to use the skills I tend to struggle with the most in terms of reading and writing.
My goal with any Spanish course I take is in hopes that it will help me in my future healthcare career by creating more opportunities for native Spanish speakers who don’t speak English. That way they can understand the aid they are to receive and be able to ask questions and take control of their health.
