Securing the Human: A Review of Literature on Broadening Diversity in Cybersecurity Education demonstrates the opportunity to diversify the field of cybersecurity and develop of a workforce of proficient computer scientists. This is important because cybersecurity as an industry is growing rapidly while a majority of positions remain vacant. This journal analyzed the approaches as well as the outcomes of diversifying higher education in the cybersecurity field, and noted that there is still room for improvement in terms of outreach. The tertiary goal of the study was to recommend diversification techniques in order to help educators organize a cybersecurity program that remains diverse by practicing diversification techniques.
