UNIV 150 is a class that helps students improve their writing skills. This is true because I believe this class is helping me get on track to becoming a better writer. I was given the assignment essay two to complete. The prompt for the assignment that I chose was for my essay two, which was why students hold asking questions to be equivalent to being weak. This was a good topic to write about because I feel this is a real topic and asking questions most times in class is looked upon as weak or slow. I went ahead and gave some research while also voicing my opinion on why students may feel like that from my personal experience of being a student. I also wrote about how this could be dangerous which is could be because then it could cause a problem of students not fully understanding certain topics because they are afraid to ask a question to get a better understanding. By students not being able to feel like they can get the help they need this could lead to bad grades. This was really a good prompt because I have related to it. I too use to be afraid to ask certain questions because I was scared of how my classmates would look at me afterward. That’s when I realized that it is not their grade it is mine so I need to get over it and I did for the most part. I hope students can realize what I did soon enough so it won’t impact their grades. Writing this paper was enjoyable because I got to voice my insight on how I think students are feeling which is why I think I liked writing it so much. My enjoyment of the topic is what I think lead me to get a good grade because of my knowledge of the topic.
