About Me

This is me in the sunflower field near my house!

Hello! My name is Nina Angelique Felipe Gomez and I am currently a student attending Old Dominion University. Here are some facts about me!

I was born in Yokosuka, Japan but lived in my hometown Atsugi, Japan in the Kanagawa prefecture for 6 years. Since then I’ve lived in Lamoore, California for 3 years, Iwakuni, Japan for 4 years, and now Virginia Beach, Virginia for 5 years and counting!

I grew up wanting to go to my dad’s alma mater in South Carolina, but I grew to love Virginia and wanted to stay close to home, thus the reason why I decided to go to Old Dominion University! This school not only was the best school for me to go to while staying close to home, but it also has an excellent nursing program that I am currently working hard to get into.

A couple of fun facts about me are…

  1. I like to paint a lot, I have many paintings up on my walls and I often gift my friends requested paintings for them.
  2. I love to sing, I’ve been in choir ever since I was in first grade and I was even Chorus president in my senior year of high school.
  3. I am a Filipino American. I also have Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish blood coursing through me.
  4. My dad is a Master Chief in the Navy and my mother is a cashier in a DECA commissary.
  5. I am always willing to try and learn new things because I am in love with traveling and experiencing different cultures. (Although I’m going to have to take a break from it for the time being)
