Due to COVID-19, more of people’s day-to-day activities have taken place at home. They include virtual offices, distance education, online shopping, doctor visits, and digital entertainment. Hack attacks and other cyber crimes can cause not only financial problems but also mental stress. The victims might also find it difficult to trust anyone online. Not trusting anyone online can lead to consumers not ordering any product online and a lot of companies are strictly online ordering. This emotional stress may stem not only from stolen data itself but also from ways the cybercriminal might use the data. These criminals may use email threats to expose the cybercrime victim. Cybercrimes are often faceless crimes. However, victims might not report cybercrimes, such as phishing attacks and email malware. They might blame themselves for reasons such as weak cybersecurity. Most of the time there is not way to find the criminal. The worst ones are when the hacker gets into a personal account by phishing. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) stated that the number of cybercrimes reported from January to May 2020 was nearly the same as the number for the entire year of 2019.
Putting together a team of old hackers and letting them work. It would unlock vulnerabilities that wouldn’t be thought of. We also need a defense making sure things are secure and wont open up for an attack. There needs to be space left on the setup for future updates so everything can be up to date. With a lot of attacks, updates need to be automatic so there isn’t room for any. ex hackers know what they can do to hack into a system. so getting them to see if any of their old ways work will help block those attempts from future attack’s.
