A cybersecurity analyst is the first line of defense for a company’s cybersecurity. They are supposed to monitor the network, help detect suspicious activity, and educate others in the workplace on cybersecurity. A lot of this job has to do with social behaviors and ways that they can negatively affect cybersecurity. The first example would be them educating others and seeking out employees who may lack cyber hygiene and helping them to ensure they don’t become a vulnerability. Another would be seeing suspicious activities in or outside the workplace and being conscious enough socially to detect whether or not it is a threat. The last social aspect I picked up on was that to be eligible for a job as an analyst you need to have a clean record. This falls under the integrity aspect of the CIA. The company wants to know that they are employing someone trustworthy so they can trust the analyst with private information.
